Eric Schaeffer drove a cab in New York City for 9 years, during which time he wrote two stageplays, a novel, 20 screenplays and various other works. He rose to fame with the successful 1993 independent film, My Life's in Turnaround, which was made in 15 days for only $200,000. Schaeffer parlayed Turnaround's success into writing, directing and producing six feature films, beginning with If Lucy Fell, in which he starred with Sarah Jessica Parker, Ben Stiller and Elle MacPherson for Columbia Tri-Star. In 2005, Eric turned his talents to television with a series on FX called "Starved" which he once again wrote, directed and starred in. More recently, he wrote an autobiographical book about his relationships and ongoing search for love, which debuted as a reality television show on Showtime Networks entitled, "I Can't Believe I'm Still Single", which began its second season in April 2009. Now Eric is sharing the secrets of his success in the film and television industries through his on-line film school (coming soon)!
